Welcome to the Edinburgh-photographs.co.uk web site.

With huge diversity within its boundaries Edinburgh offers a wealth of history and character.  One cannot fail to be overwhelmed by the sights that greet the eye around every corner and down every street.

From the sweeping elegance of the New Town to the historic clamour of the Old Town, Edinburgh is a city that captures the eye like no other. With fantastic vistas, architecture, and sculpture the city combines both panorama and exquisitely fine detail.

I am sure that you will enjoy the imagery on display and that you will see the spirit of this charismatic city reflected in the portfolio of photographs shown in the galleries.  My aim is to portray Edinburgh in many different lights giving my own perspective with the familiar, and perhaps not so familiar, shown alongside each other.

Black and white is my favourite medium to show the city in but I also breath new life into my Edinburgh imagery by using colouring techniques.  I view composition as paramount when capturing my subjects and strive to produce strong, unique photographic images.

Why not invest in some of these unique and engaging prints for your home or to give as a gift..?  If you wish to purchase any of the images on this site or want to request your own unique photographic commission please do not hesitate to contact us.

Whether investing in my work for yourself (or to give as a gift) I am confident my images will act as the perfect reminder of the world famous capital of Scotland, Edinburgh, or to use one if its many monikers, "Auld Reekie"*......

With the best of wishes,

*"Auld Reekie": in days gone by when the smoke of countless coal fires curled into the winter air, Edinburgh had the nick-name "Auld Reekie," a literal translation being 'Old Smokie'........
